NYSC Medical Fitness Certificate (Report Cost and Sample)

Because of the controversies generated by the fainting of some corps members in camp, the leadership of the National Youth Service Corps has mandated all prospective corps members to get a medical fitness certificate showing their health status before they will be registered and admitted for the orientation course after undergoing mobilization.

Only hospitals owned by the military, police, customs, federal medical centers, teaching hospitals, general hospitals, government specialist hospitals, etc. are recognized.

You cannot use your friends own.

Your name has to be on the test result.

It is mandatory by the NYSC management.

Only doctors employed by a government or military hospital can sign the certificate for you.

The certificate is valid for only 3 months after issuance or collection from hospital.

Final Words

The medical fitness certificate and report are two of the important documents you will need in camp.

The medical fitness is a document that shows if a prospective corps member is fit for camping activities or not.

The medical report is a medical document that shows if a prospective corps member needs exit to leave camp, redeployment back to home/physician or medical attention during camp.
